Walstead Guitar Studio

Walstead Guitar Studio, located in Gig Harbor, Washington, offers personalized music instruction for students of various ages and skill levels. Led by Gig Harbor native Luke Walstead, the studio provides one-on-one lessons in a custom-built, acoustically designed facility that opened in 2022. Luke brings over 20 years of playing and performance experience and nearly 15 years of professional teaching to his students.

The studio specializes in guitar, voice, ukulele, bass guitar, and music theory lessons. Instruction is available for children ages 7 and up, teens, adults, and seniors. Lessons are curriculum-based but also allow students to pursue their preferred musical styles and interests. They cover foundational concepts like note reading, technique, music theory, strumming, understanding chords, and memorizing songs.

Luke Walstead's teaching approach focuses on creating an encouraging environment, ensuring students enjoy their learning process. Lessons are structured to build effective practice habits and set achievable goals, with an emphasis on student comprehension and retention. While local students primarily attend in-person, virtual lessons are available for non-local students or by special arrangement.
