Gig Harbor Film Festival

The Gig Harbor Film Festival, established in 2007, aims to educate, entertain, and inspire audiences through cinematic arts. It is recognized as a top-tier event on the independent film festival circuit. The festival operates as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

The main festival takes place over four days, typically the last full weekend in September, and screens over 100 films annually. All films are shown at the state-of-the-art Galaxy Theatres Gig Harbor IMAX, located in Uptown Gig Harbor. The programming includes a wide variety of genres, often featuring Q&A sessions with attending filmmakers.

Beyond the annual festival, the organization hosts year-round film programs, including monthly Monday Movie Nights at the Galaxy Theatre. These events contribute to the ongoing celebration of independent film in the community. The festival also involves many volunteers, sponsors, and donors to support its mission.
