PenMet Parks Recreation Center

The PenMet Parks Recreation Center, located in Gig Harbor, Washington, is a state-of-the-art 58,000 square foot facility that officially opened its doors on July 1, 2025. It serves as a comprehensive recreation campus, providing a wide array of options for community members of all ages and abilities. The center features an indoor synthetic turf field, three multi-purpose courts for sports like basketball, volleyball, and pickleball, and an elevated indoor walk or jog track.

Beyond individual recreation, the PenMet Parks Recreation Center is a popular venue for youth birthday parties and other celebrations. Party rentals typically include two hours of access to either the Jarzynka Memorial Fieldhouse (indoor turf) or one of the multi-use courts, along with a multi-use meeting room that includes a sink, fridge, tables, and chairs. This meeting room also has a roll-up door to an outdoor patio with covered seating, available seasonally.

For another party option, the Neighborhood Greens Mini Golf Course, located on the Recreation Center campus, provides a Pacific Northwest-themed 18-hole experience. Mini golf party rentals offer unlimited play for up to 20 players and use of covered picnic tables and a tented patio area. The Recreation Center also has additional multi-use rooms available for various meetings, events, and gatherings.

The PenMet Parks Recreation Center operates seven days a week, with hours from 6:30 AM to 9 PM Monday through Friday, and 8 AM to 6 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. The facility is cashless and accepts electronic payments only. All users are required to have a waiver on file, with parents or guardians signing for minors.
