Gig Harbor Academy

Gig Harbor Academy, established in 1976, is the oldest private school in Gig Harbor, Washington. It operates on ten acres with natural surroundings, providing an educational experience for students from preschool through fifth grade.

The school's approach is student-centered and inquiry-based, encouraging experiential learning both indoors and across its outdoor campus. This includes a certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom, a fitness trail, an athletic field, an archaeological dig site, and seven acres of certified wetlands with trails. Core academics are complemented by a specialist program featuring Art, Music, Spanish, Physical Education, Science, Technology, and Library instruction, beginning in preschool.

Gig Harbor Academy also offers summer camp programs for children ages 3 through 5th grade with thematic sessions. Additionally, a summer childcare program is available for children 4 years old and up, or those currently enrolled. Before and after-school childcare is provided during the school year.
