Harbor Covenant Preschool

Harbor Covenant Preschool, established in September 2016, provides a Christian-focused early learning environment for families in Gig Harbor, Washington. The school aims to develop children physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually, instilling a value system consistent with the word of God. They focus on building self-confidence and trust through an encouraging and accepting staff.

The preschool offers two main programs. The 3's class, for children who are three by August 31, runs Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, with a monthly tuition of $385. The 4/5's class, for children who are four by August 31, operates Mondays through Thursdays from 12:15 PM to 3:15 PM, at $480 per month. A $100 registration fee applies to both. Children in the 4/5's class must be fully potty trained, while potty training is preferred for the 3's class, with individual evaluations for those not yet trained.

The curriculum is rich in hands-on experiences and pre-academic practice, preparing children for elementary education by familiarizing them with classroom structure and daily routines. It incorporates Handwriting Without Tears, the Second Steps social/emotional program, and Get Set for School for the older class. Special activities include weekly Chapel, monthly Family Chapel, Bike Days, Special Person Days, and regular field trips. The facility features secure, locked entry, a dedicated preschool bathroom, and a fenced outdoor play area, ensuring a safe learning space. All staff are background-checked and trained in abuse prevention, maintaining a two-person rule at all times.
