French Toast Theatre

Founded by Madelyn Hunter in 2016, French Toast Theatre Productions LLC provided various arts experiences for young people in Gig Harbor, Washington. Their programs aimed to foster performance training, confidence building, and creativity, offering children a space to learn stage skills, make friends, and discover their voices. Offerings included theatre productions (such as Shrek Jr. The Musical, Cinderella), dance programs like ballet, and specialized camps including Willy Wonka Theatre Camp and Frog and Toads KIDS.

Beyond stage productions, French Toast Theatre ran after-school programs, homeschool classes, Mini & Me sessions, and themed parties. They also featured programs like Beetlejuice for older kids and the Gig Harbor Goddesses outdoor adventure. The organization operated without its own permanent space, utilizing various rented venues in the community, including the Boatyard House at Eddon Boat Park and, at times, professional stages for performances.

As of June 2026, French Toast Theatre announced an intermission, with founder Madelyn Hunter taking a step back to restructure and envision its future. The goal is to transition into a nonprofit organization, seeking grants, building a staff, and eventually securing a dedicated home to expand educational opportunities. A reopening is anticipated possibly as soon as fall 2027.
