The Midway

The Midway, a family-owned bakery, deli, and market, is located at 3118 Harborview Drive in Gig Harbor, WA. Siblings Trish Huff and Nick Hosea, both Gig Harbor natives, opened the establishment in July 2026. Trish also owns Morso Bistro, and Nick is an accomplished chef who returned from Barcelona to run The Midway's kitchen.

The concept behind The Midway is a blend of an Italian deli and European market, designed to be a community gathering spot. The space offers a casual atmosphere, encouraging visitors to relax and connect. The name itself is a nod to the owners' mother, an educator, and the historic Midway Schoolhouse in the area.

Daily offerings include a variety of fresh breads, pastries, coffee, and espresso. You can find items like chocolate pistachio croissants and a range of cookies. For lunch, The Midway serves creative sandwiches, such as the Moira Rose (a kimchee grilled cheese), salads, and soups. The market section stocks artisanal and gourmet goods like fresh pasta, local jams, honey, and olive oil, along with grab-and-go meals and picnic essentials. Local beer and wine are also available. The Midway is open daily from 9 AM to 4 PM.
