Adventure Angling

Adventure Angling is a guide service and fly shop focusing on saltwater fly fishing in Washington's South Puget Sound. They specialize in guided trips targeting wild sea-run cutthroat trout year-round, with peak months from March through October. Anglers can also book seasonal trips for Pacific salmon species, including King, Coho, Chum, and Pink salmon, typically running from July through November.

The business operates the only licensed salmon charter in Washington State built exclusively for fly anglers, using a Ranger RB 190 boat designed for stable casting and shallow water access. Trips are led by Captain David Dietrich, who brings over 15 years of experience and local knowledge to each outing.

While the physical shop is located in Ruston, guided trips commonly launch from public ramps near Tacoma, Fox Island, or Gig Harbor, depending on where the fish are active. Beyond guided trips, Adventure Angling also offers fly casting lessons tailored for Puget Sound's cutthroat fishery and hosts destination trips to international saltwater and trout locations.
