Ancich Waterfront Park

Ancich Waterfront Park is a public space in downtown Gig Harbor, offering scenic views across the bay and Puget Sound. The park features a street-level view plaza with tables and benches for enjoying the waterfront. An ADA-accessible elevator connects the street level to the lower waterfront area, ensuring access for all visitors.

At the lower level, the park includes beach access and the Alan Anderson Boathouse, which provides storage for human-powered watercraft like canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards. There is also a dedicated paddlers' dock for launching these small vessels, serving the community and local paddling teams.

The park also celebrates Gig Harbor's historic fishing industry, featuring the "Seiners at Sunrise" art installation by Gary W. Jackson. This artwork depicts the traditional purse seiners used by local fishing families for generations. A future project is underway to develop a commercial fishing homeport at Ancich Waterfront Park, aiming to provide moorage facilities for working fishing vessels and support the city's maritime heritage.

Ancich Waterfront Park is a compact .78-acre park with public restrooms. It is open daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM and occasionally hosts events, such as the Holiday Village inside the Ancich Netshed during holiday seasons.
