Fox Island Fishing Pier

The Fox Island Fishing Pier is located on the eastern tip of Fox Island in Gig Harbor, Washington, providing public access to the Tacoma Narrows waterfront. Managed by PenMet Parks, this 1,200 square foot concrete pier is handicap accessible, featuring paved pathways and handrails. Visitors can enjoy fishing for salmon, bottom fish, and crabs, or simply take in the views of Puget Sound, Vashon Island, and Mount Rainier.

The pier is equipped with amenities such as restrooms, ample parking, picnic areas, and built-in cutting boards. It is also dog-friendly, though all dogs must be leashed. Beyond fishing and crabbing, the site offers opportunities for seasonal scuba diving, bird watching, and a hand launch trail for non-motorized watercraft.

Open from 7 AM to dusk, the pier is part of the Cascadia Marine Trail System, which supports non-motorized watercraft use. Fishing and shellfishing activities are subject to Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife regulations for Marine Area 13.
