Sunrise Beach Park

Sunrise Beach Park is a scenic 71 to 82-acre waterfront park located in Gig Harbor, Washington, managed by PenMet Parks. It features 2,135 to 2,400 linear feet of shoreline along Colvos Passage, providing views of Mount Rainier, Vashon Island, and the Puget Sound. The park is recognized as one of PenMet Parks' sites within the Cascadia Marine Trail system, offering access for non-motorized watercraft.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including walking along forest paths and trails, swimming, fishing, and beachcombing. The beach is a well-known destination for scuba diving. Picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis, making it suitable for day outings. Dogs are permitted in the park but must be kept on a leash.

The park is particularly noted for its stunning sunrise views, due to its east-facing orientation. Exploring the beach during low tide can reveal marine life. Amenities include a gravel parking lot, picnic areas, and a port-a-potty. The park generally operates from 7 AM to 5 PM daily.
