Tacoma Narrows Park

Tacoma Narrows Park, managed by PenMet Parks, spans 34.26 acres along the Narrows Passage in Gig Harbor, Washington. This park provides 1,315 feet of sandy-rock beach, offering opportunities for beachcombing, wildlife observation, and exploring the shoreline, particularly at low tide. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the iconic Tacoma Narrows Bridge and the city of Tacoma.

The park features a paved parking area, grassy spaces for play, picnic tables, and a gazebo overlook. Telescopes are available for enhanced viewing of the bridge and surrounding scenery. It includes a non-motorized boat launch, making it part of the Cascadia Marine Trail System with available campsites for watercraft users. For sanitation, a chemical toilet is on site.

Upcoming improvements for the park include an accessibility project planned for 2024. This project aims to extend and upgrade the path to the beach to meet ADA standards, install permanent ADA-compliant restrooms and picnic facilities, and renew existing viewpoints and telescopes. Dogs must be on a leash throughout the park unless in a designated off-leash area.
