Point Defiance Pagoda

The Point Defiance Pagoda is located in Tacoma, Washington, within Point Defiance Park's Japanese Garden, not Gig Harbor, Idaho. This historic structure, inspired by Japanese architecture, was originally built in 1914 as a waiting room for streetcars. It has since been meticulously restored and now serves as a versatile event venue.

The Pagoda provides a picturesque setting for weddings, receptions, corporate retreats, reunions, and anniversary parties. Its surroundings include serene pools, a waterfall, a charming footbridge, cherry trees, azaleas, and rhododendrons. The venue offers a large hall with a fireplace, two dressing rooms, and a kitchen. It also includes amenities such as WiFi, an LCD projector, and a built-in sound system.

With a total square footage of 2700, the Pagoda can accommodate up to 130 guests with tables and chairs, or up to 200 guests for a chairs-only setup. It is ADA accessible and offers complimentary parking. The Pagoda is a multi-floor, flexible meeting venue, also suitable for garden shows, lectures, and concerts. The facility permits alcohol in designated areas with a banquet permit and a licensed bartender.
